Yıldız developed a process in which porcelain coils are rolled directly through Mason stains and underglazes before being assembled, embedding color into the body of the sculpture rather than applying it to a finished surface. The process grows from her ballpoint pen drawings, where forms emerge through weeks of layered, irreversible lines. Across both mediums, she considers the line as a physical accumulation and the surface as a record of touch, duration, and internal pressure.
Yıldız is a recipient of the 2026 International Sculpture Center Outstanding Student Achievement Award. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Çanakkale Biennial, Drawing Discourse at UNC Asheville, Beasts and Pieces in Milan, and As Thin As A Promise in Istanbul, presented in parallel with the 18th Istanbul Biennial. Her work has also been featured in New England Art News.
Born in Türkiye, Yıldız received her BFA in Fine Arts from Bilkent University and her MFA in Ceramics from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is currently based in the United States, where she maintains her studio practice and teaches at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
